October started with the kids first ever track meet. Even though Landon was the only one in the running club they let Maddie participate too. They had a lot of fun and the best is that Maddie placed 3rd in her grade! Thought that was pretty cool since it had been years since she had run a mile.
Our new favorite family activity is making applesauce. We bought a LOT of apples so we would have plenty of applesauce in our food storage. This is batch one, we did three! The kids enjoyed helping and that made it go faster so win win!

The kids ran one more race. This one was at their school. The weather was cold this time and Maddie didn't feel well so it didn't go as well as the first.
The boys needed to go to a historic site for a merit badge so one Saturday we headed over to Camp Floyd. The kids all loved learning the history of it and exploring. They had workbooks for them to do and then they got a little prize when they were done.
In July Landon got a hamster. Well he was stinky and turns out Landon was allergic. He got sent to the basement and I felt like he wasn't getting enough attention so I sold him. The kids were sad for maybe 5 minutes.
