Last week Tanner came running in the house screaming "Landon caught a bird!!" I had to check this out. Turns out the bird had a hurt wing or something and couldn't fly and Landon was the only one brave enough to grab it. The poor thing got plenty of attention in the short time it was with us. While my neighbor called animal control the kids made a little makeshift home for it. At first animal control said to just let the bird go and "let nature take it's course" but I guess they changed their minds because they came and got it while we were at the vet with dozy. Probably better that way the kids were sad enough just knowing the bird was gone at least they didn't have to watch it leave.
