Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Day Two was Museum day. We started the day at Hill AFB Museum. Tanner has always loved things that fly and Maddie tends to point out every plane that flies over, which is a lot since we live in a flight path, so we thought this would be a good place to go. The kids enjoyed walking around and checking out all the planes, they were disappointed they couldn't actually try any of them out.

This is one of the very few pictures that Maddie cooperated for...

The kids really liked this big bomber tire for some reason, Maddie ran away before the pic was taken.

The boys pretending to fly the helicopter(they are embarrassed of this one)

Checking out some planes outside in the heat

We then headed to Union Station in Ogden. It houses three museums; train, gun and car. We went there a little over a year ago but didn't have a camera with us and have been meaning to go back ever since.

We started at the train museum. The kids loved it. It's small but very hands on. It's also nice because the place is pretty dead, at least the two times we have been. We only came across two other families in there. So no guilt on letting the kids spend as much time as they want. Outside of the museum they have a real train that you can play in. Landon was in heaven.

Watching the model train go over. Surprisingly all three kiddos enjoyed chasing the model trains around...the only non hands on part.

Any guesses on what time it was? 3:30 pm ...only three hours past nap time.

After the train museum we skipped the guns and headed over to the cars. They have 11 old cars to look at...no touching in this one. The boys thought the cars were cool but wanted to go back to the trains.

I would definitely recommend heading up to Ogden to check out these museums.
