I just love Halloween time! So many fun activities going on and the weather is actually nice enough to enjoy them! We fit in a few fun things leading up to the big day!
Gardner Village
During fall break we went up and met some witches and walked around with Susan, Lily and Lincoln. Link missed out on pics since he slept the whole time. We even got some yummy treats before leaving.
Trick or Treat @ Dad's Work
The kids love heading to Dave's work for trick or treating. They always get a ton of candy plus doughnuts and chocolate milk. Oh and they get checked out of school early to go so that's not to bad either! Dave is supposed to dress up and put off figuring out his costume until the last minute. I came up with the m&m thing.
Arctic Circle
The local Arctic Circle is a must visit place every October. They decorate the whole restaurant and the kids just love it. This year they did a Wizard of Oz theme. The girls wanted their pics with Dorothy and Glenda.
Pumpkin Patch
So these people in town have a little pumpkin patch in their backyard. No one is back there, you just drive up and pick your own pumpkins. On your way out they just ask that you leave a donation, which goes to a charity. The kids enjoyed it. Landon of course had to pick the heaviest one he could find!
Halloween Day
Halloween ended up being a pretty busy day. It landed on a Friday this year. Since it was Friday we watched Lincoln for a little while in the morning. After that Hannah had dance with a Halloween party. Following dance we headed to the school to help with Maddie's class party and then finally watch the parade at the school. Dave worked from home so he could help with Grayson and for the first time ever he got to come watch the parade.
Trick or Treating time
So it ended up being pretty warm on Halloween night. The weather couldn't have been any better. I had intended to switch Grayson into his monster costume but with it being so warm I didn't want him to get hot in it. I ended up walking the neighborhood with the girls and carried Grayson. People even gave him treats! So back home Dave got lots of compliments on our pumpkins. They weren't anything special but walking around I noticed hardly anyone carved theirs. Weird!
