4th of July

This year we were stuck with a hard decision on the 4th. We could go to Dave's hometown as usual and enjoy their festivities with his parents or we could stay home and celebrate with our new neighbors. Well we chose the latter. Our new neighborhood loves the 4th - they put on a breakfast in the morning with a bike parade for the kids and then a cookout in the evening with fireworks. Since we were still working on getting to know people we thought it would be best to stay around.

The night before the kids worked on decorating their bikes for the parade. This was pretty exciting for them since they've never done it before. Poor Hannah had been sick with a fever for a few days(thus the jammies) but she took some meds and participated.

Grayson wanted in on the fun

Breakfast time! The best part was Hannah woke up feeling all better. So many people came and boy was the line long. Next time we won't be late!

thanks for the smile Landon

always missing all the fun
 Parade time!

Hannah only made it a little of the way before getting a wagon ride
 Middle of the day fun
2 cute Annas

Dinner Time!
Fun potluck at a neighbors house.

So they had a rocket launcher to play with. Some boys thought it was a good idea to put rocks in it. Landon thought it was a good idea to stand in front of it. Yeah that ended real well.

After dinner they had a little patriotic program and then firework time. Somehow no one got seriously injured with all the kids running around with fireworks.

such a good big bro
