The Polar Express

The boys love the movie The Polar Express...it's actually Landon's favorite. Landon also LOVES trains. So we have been wanting to take the boys on Heber Valley Railroads' Polar Express. We finally did it this year. We went with both mine and Dave's parents, my sister Caroline, bro Jared & girlfriend Nicole and Dave's bro Nate.

We started the night at the Dairy Keen of course. It's a local fast food joint in Heber with a bunch of trains. The food wasn't that great but that wasn't why we were there. Landon loved watching the trains go around while he ate. The boys were also excited by the train whistles that came with their kids meals.
We then headed over to the train station. The boys were in heaven. We were pretty early so we just hung out for a little while waiting for the train to arrive. Dave took the boys outside when we could hear the train coming and Landon just stood there speechless as the train pulled in.

The "Polar Express" ride was 90 minutes. Basically you go to the North Pole where Santa boards the train and then head back to Heber. On the way to the North Pole they serve cookies and hot chocolate and read the Polar Express story. Then on the way back you sing Christmas Carols while waiting for your turn with Santa. The kids loved every minute of it. I'm happy we finally made it there.

That looks like so much fun!!! I'm glad you guys had a great time. The boys look adorable in the pajamas. Maybe next year I'll take my kids.
