March

Another basketball season came to an end. Neither of the boys teams did well this season but that's okay because they kept with it.

On Friday the 10th the girls I babysit got picked up early and the weather was nice so I decided to take advantage of it and took Hannah and Grayson to Farm Country. The kids had run funning around outside and playing with the animals.

Hannah was pretty sad when she didn't get her first choice on ponies.

Maddie had her first dance competition! We had no clue what to expect but it ended up being pretty low key, her group was one of the very first to perform that day. They didn't win for their routine but did take home a first place award for costumes.

Susan invited the girls and I to tag along to St George for the weekend. Lily had a dance competition and Mark wasn't able to come we didn't hesitate to join. After Maddie got home from school on Friday we headed over to Susan's loaded up and hit the road. The drive was pretty uneventful after checking into the hotel we went to Brick Oven for dinner. It was a long wait but the girls managed to keep themselves(and others) entertained. We spent Saturday at the competition. In between performances the girls rode their scooters all around the school. After that was all over the girls and Susan hit the pool while I took a nap to help with a massive headache.

On Sunday we packed up, checked out and then went and hit a few spots. We played at the one of my kids favorite parks. The girls had fun. Maddie was super excited to do the "skating thing" of course that got ruined when a toddler ran by her and she slammed into him. After the playground we went to Pioneer Park to explore. We always love to go there when we are in St. George. Lily and Susan showed us an old pioneer home there that we had never been to before.

We stopped for lunch at Iceberg and then hit the road. The drive home was mostly quiet as well being a Sunday afternoon. We did drive by a pretty bad accident out in the middle of nowhere. No surprise that Hannah fell asleep after a fun filled weekend.

While we were away on our girls weekend Dad and the boys had lots of fun too. They started out with dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe. Then they went and bought some models to make. Grayson went to bed and the big boys watched a movie and worked on their models.

On Saturday they went to Grandma Fowles house to work on a fence with Grandpa Roger and cousins.

Jordyn was getting pretty close to her due date. We were worried she would have the baby while we were away on our girls weekend but luckily she didn't. One morning we got to babysit Lincoln while she went to her appointment. The boys enjoyed some waffles on the couch together while watching Mickey Mouse.

This year Dave was in charge of our Ward Easter Egg Hunt. We invited Lincoln to come join the fun. Unlike most big hunts the eggs are actually hidden! The kids had fun but weren't super cooperative for a group picture.

After that hunt Maddie and I went to her old friend Chloe Parker's baptism while the rest of the gang went to the city Easter Egg hunt

Late that night Jared called and Jordyn was in labor. They dropped Lincoln off on the way to the hospital. The kids were all in bed so they had no clue Lincoln had come. It took awhile to get him to sleep but it wasn't too bad. Luckily the Easter Bunny knew Lincoln was at our house and the next morning he was able to find his Easter basket with the other kids. It was a busy and crazy Easter morning finding baskets and getting 6 kids ready and off to church at 9am. But we did it and even had time to take a pic of the group.

Just as church was ending we got the text that Thea had been born! Shortly after we got home Jordyn's parents stopped by to pick Lincoln up and we were back to just 5 crazy kids. Susan and I stopped by the hospital that afternoon to meet our new little niece. She was adorable!

For Easter dinner we went to my parents house. We hadn't had a chance to decorate eggs yet, like usual, so we did them there. Grandma had bought bubbles for the kids so we went out and played with those. With Jared and fam missing it was a pretty quiet and low key Easter.

Spring Break started with Easter. No big plans this year. We thought about St. George but going to Disneyland a month earlier made it not a good idea. I took the three youngest to the Dino Museum to play the first day.

That night was the free game for the junior Jazz players. Dave was able to take a bunch of boys. They got there really early so they could enjoy some pregame action. The boys all had a blast!

They ran into my old roomie Theresa!
