Maddie turns 8!!!

My sweet, adorable, cute girl Maddie turned 8! She is seriously the easiest kid still, one day that may change but the first 8 years have been pretty excellent. her favorites include monkey bars, reading, school, Heidi Heckelbeck, math, beanie boos, meatloaf, cheesecake, oatmeal, dolls, crafts, making bracelets, more reading,...

So for the second time in her life a Yost cousin got baptized on her birthday. That means an early wake up and a trip to Idaho. I won't lie she was a bit bummed, but who wouldn't be. But I was determined to make it a good one!

We headed out pretty early like before 7am! We grabbed some McDonald's breakfast which Maddie was super excited for and then we drove...

After Craig's baptism we headed to a park for lunch. Maddie was excited to get to play on the monkey bars! Camille was super thoughtful and they gave Maddie a birthday gift...a new beanie boo! The kids had fun playing but we didn't stay too long because we wanted to get home.

We stopped at Susan's house on the way home because they had a present for Maddie...another Beanie boo! We then realized there just wasn't time to make the meatloaf dinner Maddie wanted so we let her pick where to eat. She picked Chick-fil-a.  After that we headed home and Dad and the kids went and did a little swimming.

After swimming it was time for presents and cake. Maddie was super excited for all her gifts. Jordyn and Lincoln stopped by and guess what they got for Maddie?! Yep another beanie boo and some earrings too!

Maddie LOVES to read. We got her 4 books to add to her Heidi Heckelbeck collection so she was pretty darn excited!

Maddie wanted a cheesecake for her cake but I also made her a cake too. I even surprised her with her favorite ice cream...playdough!

The next day Maddie got her wish...homemade meatloaf and macaroni and cheese.
